The Charter
We are committed to working towards the following principles:
We will:
1. Aim to exceed our customers’ and visitors’ expectations in the service we provide.
2. Endeavour to work by the motto that ‘you never get a second chance to make a first impression’.
3. Ensure that customers and visitors are acknowledged within 30 seconds of entering our business.
4. Encourage our staff to become ambassadors for Cambridge providing clear and appropriate information.
5. Keep the area immediately outside our business clean and tidy.
6. Identify ways in which we can improve our environment and aspire to make at least one improvement each year.
7. Aim to reduce the amount of supplementary materials we give to our customers.
8. Use less energy by ensuring, when possible, that we turn off lights or electrical equipment when not in use – standby does not count!
9. Where and when possible, turn down the heat by 1 degree within our business and ensure that we are not unnecessarily heating empty rooms. If practical, we will also consider closing our door to stop heat escaping and reduce the amount of heating we require.
10. Seek to reduce the amount of waste we produce and increase the amount of waste we recycle by 10% every year until we can recycle no more!
